Get to know us!

The Motor City Wine and Food Frolic turned a “what if”, into a “why not” during the summer of 2012. An event scheduled for March 2020 will give guests the opportunity to take part in activities in Oakland county.

Our events, from sophisticated to educational to entertaining to one-of-a-kind will be the talk of the town. The Motor City Wine and Food Frolic combines the best in food, spirits, fashion, flowers, music and yes — cars.

The Motor City Wine and Food Frolic raises needed funds to support adult literacy organizations in the tri counties. We bring awareness to the growing problem of illiteracy in our community—all, while introducing the literacy organizations who make a difference to thousands of adults each and every day.

Did you know……In Michigan one in three adults reads below a sixth grade level.

The National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) found that: two thirds of students who cannot read proficiently by the 4th grade will end up in jail or on welfare.

More than 60 percent of all prison inmates are functionally illiterate.

90% of welfare recipients are high school dropouts.

It is estimated that the cost of illiteracy to business and the taxpayer is $20 billion per year.

Motor City Wine and Food Frolic, a 501 c3 organization, will support the efforts of reducing illiteracy, and providing a forum for people to learn more about this issue.

We hope you too will support our efforts and attend our  2020 event.
